Whenever Oregon-based knife company CRKT and legendary designer Ken Onion get together, you know we’re in for something special. And that’s exactly what we have with CRKT’s new collection featuring the designer’s award-winning Assisted Opening mechanism, as well as a brand-new EDC knife design called the Stylus.
Starting off with the Stylus, it’s an attractive low-profile folder that’s been engineered to suit practically any pocket in which you wish to carry it. The knife features a satin-finished 3.18” drop point blade made of 12C27 Sandvik steel paired with a textured aluminum handle. The Stylus also boasts a cutout flipper opening, liner lock, and deep carry pocket clip. In addition to the Stylus, the collection also sees the return of Onion’s Shenanigan design with two new models. The 3.35” hollow-ground knives now feature Onion’s Assisted Opening that’s been enhanced with CRKT’s IKBS ball bearing pivot system, along with glass nylon reinforced handles and the option of Veff Serrations or a plain edge. Rounding out the collection is Onion’s 3.53” tactical urban knife, the Foresight, which has also been given the IKBS/Assisted Opening treatment. To celebrate the launch, CRKT is giving away a special one-off Stylus that was handmade by Onion, and you can enter to win it on the company’s Instagram page on April 16.
