Over the last decade, the classic truck customs and restomod scene has absolutely exploded in popularity, leading to the inception of a host of companies that specialize in wrenching on particular makes or models. One such outfit is Corsetti Cruisers, a Southern California shop that focuses exclusively on breathing new life into classic Toyota trucks and SUVs.
Founded by Brian Corsetti and headquartered out of Los Angeles, Corsetti Cruisers trades in refreshed, customized Toyota models from the ’80s and ’90s like the FZJ80, FJ60, FJ62, as well as a few Lexus models of the same era such as the LX450. The company offers three packages, the most high-end of which includes a full frame off restoration, and a slew of aesthetic, and performance upgrades both inside and out. This includes off-road elements like crash protection, roof racks, light bars, spare tires, and other off-grid essentials, as well as up-specced suspension packages and potent engine swaps that occasionally include dropping Corvette LS engines into the Japanese donors. Unlike many involved, modernized classic builds, Corsetti’s projects can usually be had for under the $50,000 mark, making it markedly more accessible than offerings from its competitors without compromising on attention to detail or build quality. Builds from Corsetti Cruisers are available now, starting from as low as $20,000 for the brand’s stage one package, while the top-of-the-line stage three packages start at $55,000.
