Converse Chuck Taylor All Star 70 GORE-TEX
When it comes to sneakers, nothing is quite as classic as the Converse Chuck Taylor All-Stars. Yet, while they’re certainly a men’s style staple, these sneakers have a pretty menacing downside: they get completely waterlogged in even the lightest of drizzles. But wet Chucks are no longer a problem, as Converse has just unveiled their Chuck 70 GORE-TEX collection.
The silhouette is the same as it’s always been — vintage perfection — but the shoes have been upgraded majorly in regards to their outdoor durability. Now, they feature a completely waterproof GORE-TEX lining in conjunction with a gusseted tongue to up the water-resistance even further. They also include a super-comfortable Ortholite insert, making them an excellent choice for all-day wear, and they come in a number of colorways (most of which boasting the GORE-TEX name in big bold lettering). Available on October 1st, these new all-weather sneakers will sell for $140 a pair.
