Code Of Bell Made These Messenger Bags for Work in a Post-COVID World

Despite the company being founded in 2016, Code Of Bell has quickly garnered a reputation as one of the most innovative brands in the storage solution space, with the Los Angeles outfit producing an impressive range of “Carrywear” that’s as rugged and utilitarian as it is beautifully designed. And while thus far, CoB’s bags have all consisted of various takes on the crossbody pack, the company is now branching out with the release of its first-ever line of messenger bags.

Christened the APEX LINER PRO and the APEX LINER MAX, these shoulder bags have been engineered from the ground up to address the needs of your average worker in a post-COVID world. As such, both messenger bags are designed to serve as fully-capable office and everyday carry vessels while enabling their carriers to work from practically anywhere thanks to a laptop compartment that opens 110°, allowing it to serve as a personal workstation. The design also features organizers for mobile power banks, charging cables, and other tech accessories built into its sidewalls. Offering up to 8 and 12 liters of storage space, respectively, the APEX LINER MAX and APEX LINER PRO weigh only 1.9lbs and 2.4lbs.

In typical CoB fashion, the Southern California company has crafted the bags entirely from ultra-rugged and fully-waterproof X-Pac sailcloth before equipping both items with water-resistant YKK zippers, a contrasting orange liner, and a suite of FIDLOCK buckles. Capable of being carried like a briefcase, worn across the body, or over the shoulder, both the MAX and PRO-specs of the APEX LINER bags also boast a luggage handle passthrough, a padded rear panel, a magnetic-coupling quick-release key hook, a bevy of internal organizers, and a zippered quick-access rear pocket. What’s more, the bags feature a trio of main compartments, including a padded laptop sleeve (capable of accommodating MacBook Pro models of up to 16” on the PRO model and 14” on the MAX version). CoB is also producing a BACKPACK HARNESS KIT (sold separately) that allows both bags to be carried as backpacks.

The Code Of Bell APEX LINER PRO & APEX LINER MAX Shoulder Bags are available for preorder now, with discounted early-bird pricing set at $169 and $199 (before the MSRPs jump to $189 and $219, respectively). Deliveries of both bags are scheduled to begin in February of 2023.
