Civilware Hatchets

If a tool’s essential form hasn’t changed in hundreds of years, you can be sure that it is because it was a pretty damn good design to start with. CivilWare, the outdoor and hunting company based out of the Southwest, decided not to try and fix something that wasn’t broken and instead focused on quality material with their line of Hatchets.

Each hatchet head is made from a 1060 high carbon steel, a material known for keeping a sharp edge for a good deal longer than other materials. The 5.5 inch head is attached to a 13.5 inch long American Hickory handle and can easily break down wood for kindling or drive in loose nails around the house or farm. Weighing in at 2.5 pounds, you can get plenty of inertia going with your swing. Take your pick of either Smoke, Natural, Black or Red. Each hatchet comes complete with full-faced leather sheath. Prices start at $125.

Purchase: $125
