Over the years, Mercedes-AMG and Cigarette Racing have come together on a number of eye-catching collaborative projects, with each one seeing the Miami-based boatmaker’s luxury performance vessels infused with a bit of signature German styling. Suffice to say, the partnership has resulted in some pretty outrageous vehicles, and their 13th joint effort is no exception.
This time around, Mercedes-AMG has taken Cigarette’s 41’ Nighthawk and given it a vibrant makeover as an homage to the GT Black Series coupe. In practice, this means that the special-edition model sports an eye-melting Magmabeam orange hull with a hand-painted repeating AMG pattern at the bow. Complemented by an interior done up in custom black and grey ‘Cigarette Cool’ upholstery, the result is a boat that looks every part its on-road inspiration. And here’s the thing; as with past collabs, the Nighthawk also gets a pretty sizeable bump in performance to go along with its new digs. So, even though it typically comes standard with four motors and a maximum of 1,800hp, the Black Series variant adds a fifth 4.6-liter Mercury 450R V8, bringing the combined total to 2,250hp and resulting in a top speed of over 90mph.
