Christopher Ward’s Sealander Signals The Launch Of Its Explorer Watch Line

Christopher Ward already makes some of the best sport watches under $2,000, and now the brand is strengthening its standing even further with the all-new C63 Sealander line of explorer’s watches.

The Christopher Ward C63 Sealander line consists of three distinct new models that encapsulate the “go anywhere, do anything” mantra of well-rounded sports watches. The simplest of the trio is the Sealander Automatic, a 39mm three-hander with a fixed bezel, 6 o’clock date, and 150m water resistance. Next up is the Sealander GMT. Also in 39mm, it’s an “explorer’s GMT” that essentially adds an orange arrow GMT hand and 24-hour markings to the fixed stainless steel bezel of the standard Sealander. Most impressive is the top-level Sealander Elite. Sporting a different case and dial from the others, the 40mm Elite is crafted from lightweight Grade 2 titanium, houses a COSC-certified automatic chronometer movement, and includes an innovative push-button retractable crown. Only a tiny handful of similar crowns exist elsewhere — like on the $48,600 Omega Aqua Terra Ultra Light — but never has one been produced anywhere near this price level. The entire Sealander collection is available to pre-order now from Christopher Ward, starting at $695.
