Chevy Silverado Ice Truck by Iceculture
If the NHL isn’t content with their distant 4th place status in the rankings of America’s favorite sports, the powers that be might wanna give us more of that sweet outdoors action they hit us with on New Year’s Day in the annual Winter Classic—great stuff. Not only was the game fun to watch, but it also featured an ad with this amazing ice truck from the frigid geniuses at Iceculture and Canadian Tire. Every non-functioning body piece on this truck is made of ice. That’s cold, man.
Weighing 15,000 lbs (11,000 of that in ice!), this rig featured a modified 2005 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD frame at its core, and then it got crazy. The cab and body were stripped, a special steel frame was fitted to support the ice, and then the carving kicked in. We’re using the past tense here because it has since melted (as planned). But don’t worry, kids; just like Frosty, the ice truck will be back again someday. [Via]
