In the world of watches, Baselworld’s prestige can be compared to that of the Geneva Auto show – where watch brands from around the world showcase upcoming timepieces that will be made available later in the year. Not surprisingly, G-Shock has been the star of the show, most notably with the release of their all-new MTG-B1000.

Functioning as the first-ever connected MT-G model due to its Bluetooth capabilities and BLE time sync, the high-end model comes redesigned with a new band structure and slimmer case. From here, the MTG-B1000 keeps accurate time anywhere in the world using its Connected Engine module, connects to G-Shock’s Connected smartphone app to easily set word time, features a sapphire crystal for protection, boasts 200m of water and shock resistance, a full auto Super Illuminator LED light, stopwatch, and full auto timer. All held with a 52mm case and available this July for $800.
