Casio is about to release a limited edition G-Shock MT-G watch that’s looking like a combination of copper and steampunk, peppered with a bit of apocalyptic Mad Max style. Featuring a rose gold finish in addition to the G-Shock’s resin band, sapphire crystal and stainless steel case, this watch looks to make waves among collectors.
The combination of both metal and resin produces something unlike Casio has ever built before. It’s both elegant and G-Shock tough and chock-full of cool features only a true G-Shock could provide. Included is a GPS Hybrid Wave Ceptor that communicates with GPS satellites to receive global positioning and time. It also receives time calibration signals from six separate global transmitters. Additional functions include an LED Afterglow light, solar power functionality, 200-meter water resistance, world time for 40 different time zones, a daily alarm, and airplane mode among many others. Casio plans on releasing this watch sometime next month so be on the lookout in the near future for more information making its way through the grapevine. Prices are set at $1,900 for this limited edition model.
