Fat Tires aren’t just for off-road machines, street racing, or beer fans, they’re suitable for good old bicycles as well. From beach cruisers to oversized boardwalk bikes, these oversized two wheelers draw the eyes while providing the rider with an overall smoother ride. In this instance, the fat tire bike was taken to a bit of an extreme.
Build out by a gentleman who goes by Mr. Mash, this custom bike rides atop two actual vehicle tires and was begun when Mr. Mash’s friend suggested he take up welding as a life trade. Little did he know what would come of this endeavor. There were several accommodations added in order to fit the car tires, such as widening the forks, creating custom steel tubing and sprocket step, and removing the original hubcaps while replacing them with custom spokes. The bike was also finished with a clean paint job and features an old school motorcycle light affixed to the handlebars for good measure. And while the Car Wheel Bicycle is not available for purchase, let this be a reminder that a newfound trade can lead to some very interesting projects down the road.
