Canyon’s Latest Carbon Bike Honors A Tour De France Photography Legend

Photographer Tino Pohlmann has made a livelihood out of cycling, and his unique captures have served to illustrate the sports many personalities, styles, and cultures throughout the years. As one of Canyon’s favorite artistic minds, it made sense for the brand to introduce its very own homage to the creative — a beautifully-contrived, road-faring platform known as the Ultimate CF SLX 8 Disc LTD 1.

The Canyon Ultimate CF SLX 8 Disc LTD 1 encompasses everything that makes Pohlmann’s work unique. Inspired by his cultivated appreciation for detail, the outdoor environment, and full-color captures, the bike adopts its very own specially-designed artwork alongside a lightweight carbon fiber frame, SRAM eTap Powerpack battery, and an SRAM Force crank/gearset, providing top-of-the-line parts for an informed, race-inspired cycle. To complement its robust parts package, a set of aerodynamically-inclined ZIPP 404 Firecrest wheels have been introduced alongside a Selle Italia SLR Boost Superflow S manganese saddle, S13 VCLS seatpost, and eTap AXS HRD 12s levers. To complete the special-edition model, Canyon has adorned its top tube with Pohlmann’s contact sheet of the Col du Galibier, one of the most important legs of the Tour de France. The $6,100 bike is currently for sale via the brand’s website and will be limited to 60 models worldwide.
