For well over half a century, Canada Goose has been making a wide range of high end jackets, parkas, vests, and other cold-weather apparel for the serious outdoorsman. Up until now, though, they’ve never made jackets with the kind of all-over reflective material that they’re debuting in their reflective Birchbark Jackets.
The unique reflective print that adorns the men’s Harbour and Riverhead jacket are inspired in large part by the bark of the birch tree – being white and flaky with high-contrast dark spots throughout. Intended to be used by urban commuters, the jackets not only light up when put under a caught under a streetlight, but they also feature a fold-down hem that can be deployed while riding a bike or walking in the rain, and then snapped back up once you’ve reached your destination. These coats also have zippers placed under the arms for dumping heat while riding, and specially scalloped cuffs for keeping hands both dry and warm. Prices start at $650.
