C. O Design Lab Apple Watch Pod Case

It’s unfortunate that one of Apple’s most popular products, the iPod Classic, fell victim to discontinuation — but if you’re anything like the design team over at C. O Design Lab, you haven’t given up hope for a stylish comeback. Well, thanks to the efforts of concept designer Joyce Kang, the return of the Classic may become a reality — although, a little different from what you might expect.

Through the use of 3D rendering, Kang and the team of industrial UI designers at C. O Design Lab have created a beautiful, minimalist silhouette that acts as a case for the latest Apple Watch. It features the traditional circular click wheel and front panel design utilized by the iPod Classic but with a more compact design. Cutouts along the side of the case allow the watch’s digital crown and side buttons to retain their function. We’re even willing to bet the case will feature some sort of Bluetooth functionality to ensure a perfect pairing between the Apple Watch and the throwback accessory, considering the cutout on the rear of the conceptual device will allow for wireless charging.
