Ben Gorham started his company BYREDO back in 2006 to create high-end beauty and fragrance products that were evocative of emotion through their focus on artistry first and foremost. Its subline, called ByProduct, features adjacent items such as hats, glasses, jewelry, and camping equipment, often featuring collaborations with other designers and artists.
The latest from BYREDO’s ByProduct is a light and scent diffuser called Infra Luna. Teaming up with French light artist Benoit Lalloz, the company has created something that doesn’t just have utility for your home but serves as a beautiful and inspired conversation piece. Sporting an Art Deco aesthetic, the Infra Luna uses heat to melt the wax of a candle sitting inside, whose aroma is then permeated throughout the room. You can pair the device with one of BYREDO’s many in-house luxury candles, such as Tree House or Burning Rose.
The Infra Luna comes with three colored candle caps — blue, red, and chrome — which can be placed on top of the candle for a unique lighting experience to go along with whichever scent you’ve chosen. The diffuser itself utilizes an LED lighting system encased in the industrial-inspired frame made from aluminum and finished with satin and polished chrome. The unit stands over 21″ high, weighs over 12lbs, and is given a green power cable for an added touch of color.
Light and scent diffusers are a popular way to affect the atmosphere of your home, tapping into two of your five senses. Typically light diffusers and scent diffusers are not one and the same, but here they are used in tandem. The bulbs are included with the Infra Luna, which can be purchased now through BYREDO’s online store for $2,590.
