ButterUp Knife

We can’t tell you how many times we’ve ripped slices of bread apart in an attempt to apply cold butter to each slice. Apparently we aren’t the only ones with this problem as DM Initiative rolls out the best solution we’ve ever laid our eyes upon – the ButterUp Knife.

After learning that cold butter was easier to spread after being run through a grater, the Australian-based team decided to build one right into the knife. Opposite the serrated side of the blade a row of holes will aerate and soften your cold butter, letting you apply it to each slice with ease. Each knife is constructed from stainless steel, and is dishwasher safe – which makes cleanup a breeze. The knife crushed its Kickstarter goal, and is gearing up to hit the retail scene with a $11 price tag. [Purchase]
