Buck Upgrades Its Pursuit Hunting Knives With S35VN High-Grade Steel

Originally launched in 2019, Buck Knives’ Pursuit lineup is a quality, American-made mid-range blade collection that’s touted as a more versatile alternative to traditional hunting knives. And the success of these rugged yet accessibly-priced knives has prompted the Idaho-based outfit to deliver a new, more premium version of this lineup with the Pursuit Pro Series Knives.

Like the original Pursuit lineup, the Pro-spec range consists of half-a-dozen fixed-blade and folding items. The earlier iteration’s Versaflex-over-molded, glass-filled nylon handle remains on the Pursuit Pro Series — though is now neon orange rather than OD green — as do the heavy-duty polyester sheaths sold with each blade. What distinguishes the Pro-spec, however, is its use of upgraded S35VN steel, which is made all the more enticing due to Buck’s Edge2x technology, which allows for superior edge retention and a sharper blade right out of the box. While pricier than the original Pursuit series — which ranged from $48 to $70 — the Pursuit Pro collection is still shockingly affordable, starting from $90 and going up to $120. Plus, like all Buck Knives, the Pursuit Pro Series is backed by Buck’s Forever Warranty. For more info on any of the six new Buck blades, check out the company’s website linked below.
