OK, it’s trivia time: Name the real-life “Lawrence of Arabia.” Oooh, sorry, we were looking for T.E. Lawrence. Yes, Lawrence was the British Army officer who rose to fame for his exploits in the Middle East, and he was also a huge fan of Brough Superior motorcycles; the “Rolls-Royce” of motorcycles back in the 1920s and 30s.

Now, Brough – named after the incredibly thorough owner, George Brough – is bringing back its renowned SS100 model. These bikes are being built exactly as ol’ George would’ve wanted them, including a 88° V-twin DOHC, water- and oil-cooled engine, with 4-valves per cylinder. With this level of craftsmanship, you can understand why Brough plans on producing just 250 Superior SS100s per year. And a good look at the exquisite detail involved in each one helps us understand better why they’ll be going for $62,000 a pop. [Purchase]
