Broken Liquid by Ben Young

We’ve seen a lot of crazy things done with glass, but it’s not everyday you come across something as impressive as what glass artist Ben Young has created.

Young recently shared a glimpse of his latest creations, each of which uses glass cut from window panes to form a body of water. His creations look unimaginably complicated to produce, with special care and precision going into each sculpture. Each of Young’s sculptural works are hand drawn, hand cut and handcrafted from glass, which is then laminated after each layer is added to create a final form. The glass of each of the sculptures has a blueish hue, making them the perfect stand-in for bodies of water. Depending on the thickness of the glass, the hue is either a lighter or darker shade.
