Brand Ambassadors are an interesting lot. While it seems that many of them have been plucked straight from the air, there are others who have earnt their ability to represent the world’s most notable companies. Nirmal ‘Nims’ Purja MBE is one such individual — a lifelong adventurer and Bremont Ambassador whose ascent of the world’s tallest peaks served to warrant the manufacture of the company’s illustrious Project Possible watch.
After being summoned by the brand to scale fourteen of the world’s largest mountains, Nirmal Purja completed his expeditionary goal in just over six months, shattering a record that had remained in-place for over eight years. To celebrate Purja’s legendary feat, the company took to the drawing board to revise its famous Supermarine 500 watch, resulting in the limited-edition GMT that you see here. A handsome 43mm stainless steel case and CuSn8 bronze bezel have been contracted to house the brand’s BE-93-2AV automatic movement, gifting wearers with an active 42-hour power reserve, while gold-plated indices, hands, and a Super-LumiNova coating complement the watch’s printed rear, annotating the elevations of each summited peak. The Project Possible is available for preorder now via Bremont’s website for $6,695.
