One of the most beautiful cars ever made, the Jaguar E-Type, is turning 60 years old this year, and British watchmaker Bremont is marking the occasion with a special limited edition Jaguar E-Type 60th Limited Edition box set.
The star of the Bremont Jaguar E-Type 60th Limited Edition box set is an updated chronograph featuring Bremont’s Valjoux-based, chronometer-certified BE-50AE automatic movement visible through the display caseback behind a rotor that’s been modified to resemble an E-Type steering wheel. The watch’s dial and handset are based on Bremont’s previous Jaguar collab, the MKII, but here a rather unusual (but welcome) bi-directional tachymeter bezel has been added. The watches are available in either Flat Out Grey or Drop Everything Green, and come on matching Jag leather straps. Also included in the box is Bremont’s first-ever rally timer, which consists of a mechanical stopwatch with a tachymeter alongside a mechanical clock with a small seconds display. The handsome unit can function as a desk clock or can be installed in your car. Finally, the 120 lucky purchasers of this limited edition box set will get the opportunity to drive three iconic E-Types at Jaguar’s Fen End facility. Happy birthday, XKE.
