One of the great things about not being an instant adopter of new technology is you get to see the kinks ironed out and save some money when version 1.0 goes to 2.0. Such is the case with Boosted Boards. After wowing the world with their motorized longboards, the guys behind the product have fine-tuned their machines and lowered the prices as well.

Each deck is built from American-made bamboo, with three different models to choose from. The Boosted Single ($999) features a one-motor drive system controlled by a handheld remote throttle. With 1,000 watts of power, riders can reach top speeds of 18 mph and go seven miles on a single charge. It can also climb hills up to a 15 percent grade, and at 13.5 pounds, it’s the lightest of the models, which also include the Boosted Dual ($1299) and the Boosted Dual+ ($1499), which can reach 22 mph and climb hills up to a 25 percent grade.
