Every year, the prestigious Bonhams auction house reveals its lineup for the massive Spring Stafford motorcycle auction, which usually accompanies the highly-anticipated International Classic MotorCycle Show. For 2019, the show-runners have promised over 400 one-of-a-kind motorcycles to be auctioned off during the two-day event — many of which are truly a sight to behold.
With literal hundreds of character-imbued bikes in the mix, it’s difficult to focus on a select few — but we do have a few favorites. They include a glorious unrestored 1951 Vincent Series-C Black Shadow, which sports the same monstrous 998cc V-Twin engine that allowed it to reach a blistering 120 miles per hour during its heyday (which was hard to believe, at the time). There’s also a 1925 Coventry-Eagle 981cc Flying-8 that was the recipient of a rare vintage-era engine. And, last but certainly not least, this impeccable 1926 Brough Superior SS100 Alpine Grand Sport — “The Rolls-Royce of Motorcycles” that would help define the “golden age” of motorcycling — is also available. There are many, many more platforms worth their salt in the Spring Stafford Collection, so head over to Bonhams’ site to see everything the upcoming auction has to offer.
