This year, Bentley Motors celebrated the 100 year anniversary since the luxury car maker’s inception in January of 1919. To mark the occasion, the British auto outfit has joined forces with US-based ski manufacturer, Bomber Ski, to deliver a limited run of commemorative Centenary Edition skis.
Produced by hand in Biella, Italy, each pair of skis is reportedly born out of more than 30 man-hours of labor and features a core composed of a wood and fiber blend that’s sealed via a dual-layer Titanal coating — a high strength, aluminum-heavy-alloy supplemented with small amounts of magnesium, zinc, copper, and zirconium. Limited to just 100 pairs worldwide, the Centenary Edition skis were co-developed and tested by co-owner of Bomber, Olympic and World Championship gold medalist, and the winningest male American alpine ski racer in history: Bode Miller. This top-shelf set of skis features a GripWalk boot binding system and is adorned various Bentley branding top and bottom. Taking visual inspiration from Bentley’s stunning EXP 100 GT Concept, the Centenary Editions sport diamond-shaped 24-karat gold inserts. The Bomber for Bentley Centenary Edition 84 Skis’ MSRP has been set at $3,750.
