Manhart Turned A BMW X5 Into A Beautifully Sinister 823HP Super-SUV

With more than three decades’ worth of experience tuning BMW platforms, Manhart is one of the best in the biz if you’re after a German exotic with a bit of extra oomph under the hood. Whether you’re one for low-slung super sedans or high-rolling luxury SUVs, rest assured, there’s an offering that’s perfectly suited to your particular requirements.

For its latest build, Manhart has transformed an otherwise run-of-the-mill X5 Competition spec into the black and gold super utility vehicle you see before you. Dubbed the ‘MHX5 800,’ it’s the product of a full-on engine overhaul that boosts stock power from 625 to 823hp and stock torque from 553 to 738lb-ft. And that’s not all — the German-based tuner has also given the Bimmer a new suspension setup that has the car coming in some 30mm lower and specifically optimized for the added grunt. Riding on a set of 22″ Manhart Concave One forged rims and wearing a crop of carbon parts — including a new front spoiler, side-skirts, and a rear diffuser — it makes for quite the menacing performance machine.
