BMW R69S “Thompson” by ER Motorcycles

Slovenia’s ER Motorcycles has unveiled their latest creation, a custom BMW R69S “Thompson” commissioned by a German doctor. Using the R69s recognizable frame, the “Thompson” is a frankencycle of sorts, containing various other BMW components.

Sure, it has a look rivaling the 1942 Harley seen in Captain America, but the redesigned “Thompson” build contains an engine and transmission from the R100, and a swingarm and upper triple tree from an R80. The rear wheel is from an R50/5, but the front is a Borrani with Inox spokes, with both wheels having 18 inch rims. ER also placed a Roland Sands Design Vintage Black Ops headlight right at the front, adding a dramatic flare to its design. But a major part of this BMW R69S custom’s appeal is the blue paint finish on the tank, which gives the bike a modernized look. The “Thompson” is truly a mechanical work of art.
