Over the last decade, BMW airheads have become increasingly popular platforms for customization, though the ubiquity of modified air-cooled Boxer twins has made it more and more difficult to deliver a BMW-based project that can truly be described as unique. Nonetheless, Adrián Campos and the rest of his team at the Bolt Motor Co. have managed to do exactly that, churning out a thoroughly idiosyncratic R100 that stands out from the crowd for all the right reasons.
Bolt had already completed a similar R100 build, though for the “V2” the Valencia outfit wanted to take things several steps further. Beginning the project with a fully-faired RS-spec tourer, the Spanish shop completely stripped down the donor, before building it back up with a custom, two-level subframe capped off with a humped leather saddle that follows the contours of the new framework and a revised front-end with swept-back bars, a tracker number plate, and a sliver of a front fender that now supports a circular antique headlight housing an LED beam. There are also custom rear-sets, upgraded rear suspension, custom exhausts culminating in modern cone mufflers, and a black and white bolt-pattern tank with bespoke BMW and shop logos. This build is currently for sale through the Bolt Motor Co. where more information and pricing are available upon request at the link below.
