BMW R100 ‘Agent Red’ By Renard Speed Shop

BMW is one of the most prevalent platforms for custom motorcycle building — specifically, the R100, which has helped to bring an entire generation of modified rides to the limelight. Estonia’s Renard Speed Shop has only contributed to the popularity of the German brand with yet another beautiful rendition of the R100, the “Agent Red.”

Although the bike retains some of the original aspects of the donor BMW, such as the factory engine and frame, the rest of the motorcycle has undergone an extensive custom facelift. The motor, gearbox, and final drive were completely stripped, restored and cleaned, while a set of hand-made headers and Triumph Thruxton mufflers were added for additional aesthetic (and audible) value. Renard replaced the front end of the bike with one from a Harley Davidson Springer, custom manufactured the steering bearing housings, and improved upon the fork’s original geometry for a lower, more aggressive stance that would make this BMW perfect for a shorter rider. The 1,000cc bike rides like a dream atop its 16×3.5” custom built aluminum wheels, rebuilt shock mounts, and custom seat. Renard finished off this striking ride with a simple military matte grey paint to enhance the moto’s vintage aesthetic. [H/T: Bike EXIF]
