BMW Motorrad “Concept 101″

Touring motorcycles aren’t usually considered the sexiest of bikes, but BMW’s latest concept strikes a major blow for touring coolness with the BMW Motorrad “Concept 101.″

Unveiled at Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in Lake Como, Italy, the Concept 101 is being described as the “epitome of elegance, power and luxury on two wheels,” and it’s the power part of this drop-shaped “bagger” that has our attention, with the crazy torque of the in-line 1,649cc (101 cubic inch) 6-cylinder engine. There’s plenty of carbon fiber in the streamlined body, and the dynamically designed front trim in brushed aluminum is flatly integrated into the flow of the styling. Other highlights include a dark wood trim, black leather seats, LED taillights, tailpipes on both sides with three outlets, and two side cases with matching wood trim.
