BMW I8 Protonic Frozen Black Edition

As if the BMW i8 needed any extra selling points, the German marque has just announced a limited edition of the vehicle they’re calling the BMW i8 Protonic Frozen Black. This thing trades out the currently available colorways for a murderous matte black.

Slated to go up for sale starting this coming April, the car will feature all of what drivers already love about this beast of a vehicle. This means the 1.5 liter three cylinder combined with the electric engine will still generate 357 horses, propelling itself up to 60 mph in just 4.2 seconds. And then of course, the interior will still look more like a spaceship than your run-of-the-mill car. While there is no official word on pricing at the moment, one can safely assume that this limited edition car will go for north of the usual i8 asking price of $140,000. [Purchase]
