Hot on the heels of its CE-04 scooter announcement, BMW has just unveiled two new concepts that are poised to change the future of urban mobility for the better. It’s refreshing to see more of such creations from the German automaker, as it signals a commitment to providing eco-friendly transportation for all.
They’re calling them the ‘Dynamic Cargo’ and the ‘Clever Commute.’ In the case of the former, you’ll find a compact, three-wheeled bicycle that’s intended to transport luggage, children, and anything else you intend to carry. Built around a large singular front wheel and a pair of pivoting rear axles, it’s powered by an electrified drivetrain that automatically engages with a push of the pedal. And when it comes to the Clever Commute, BMW has created what is essentially a folding e-scooter for workers on the go. Designed to pack away for easy trunk storage and lugging around on public transport, it features a hub-mounted motor in the front wheel for effortless use up ramps. Though BMW doesn’t have plans to build either one of these contraptions, apparently, there are already talks of licensing in the works.
