BMW decided to dress up the 2002 Hommage they released earlier this year for Monterey Car Week in the fratiest way possible – by giving it a Jägermeister livery.
Ok ok. There is more going on than just a nod to the vast majority of underaged drinkers who like licorice flavored booze. The German digestif was such a big sponsor in European auto racing during the 1970s that they were nearly synonymous with the sport. Given that BMW’s 2002 Hommage is a throwback to that same time, it only makes sense that they’d cover it in this race livery. More noteworthy than these links between the past, however, is how damn good the car looks. The use of Jagermeister’s font to spell out ‘Turbomeister’, along with the placement of badges make this already aggresive car look that much cooler. Someone should buy the designers behind the livery a drink or two.
