From childhood lunches with Ian Fleming to scouting locations for Dr. No, recording legend Chris Blackwell has a longstanding and intimate relationship with the Bond series. And if that wasn’t enough — Blackwell also currently owns and operates the famed GoldenEye estate, a property he has since transformed into a luxury resort.
In celebration of the forthcoming 25th Bond flick No Time To Die, Chris Blackwell is releasing a limited-edition 007-themed rum. Inspired by the Blackwell family’s time-honored recipe, this sugar cane rum was aged in American oak barrels for two years. What results is a rum that’s rich, fragrant, and dark — something undeniably Jamaican. What’s more, the 007 Limited Edition rum comes with a QR code-based augmented reality experience. When scanned, users will see Blackwell come to life, sharing stories from his star-studded life, as well as music selections and cocktail recipes. Set to go on sale alongside the film’s release, the Blackwell Rum 007 Limited Edition will cost $35.
