Direct-drive trainers have been popping up left and right, but none have impressed us more than the Bkool Smart Air. With a focus on authentic pedaling, using this device will make you feel like you’re actually tackling the open road.

The ultra quiet direct-drive trainer has a precise, high-tech infrared sensor to measure internal temperature for accurate power statistics. According to Bkool, their Smart Air trainer is the only one to replicate inertia, as the gradients are adjusted automatically for an authentic ride. For further immersion, its rocking system allows you to move side to side up to 6° for a genuine outdoor cycling feel. The bike trainer has 3,000 watts of power and V-shaped legs for superior stability, allowing you to reach speeds over 43 mph. It even comes with a cycling simulator, so you can join the ride with thousands of cyclists from across the globe and try out various workouts created by cycling experts. The trainer is expected to the market sometime in January for an expected price of $1,200.

Purchase: $1,200
