Since first launching in 2011, Big Idea Design has built a name for itself through producing compact yet highly functional pieces of EDC gear. And though the company’s catalog already includes the ultra-minimalistic titanium pocket bit and the more robust Bit Bar EDC Screwdriver, BID has now revealed its latest pocketable piece of gear with the all-new Bit Bar Inline.
The Bit Bar Inline is crafted from solid grade 5 titanium and is completely devoid of any plastic components. Weighing just 2.17oz (or 0.135lbs), this pen-style driver packs a trio of S2 Steel Hex Bits (a #2 Phillips, a T8 Torx, and a 1/4″ Flathead) inside of a magnetic storage shaft that’s spring-loaded and guided via ball-bearings. Measuring 4.25” long (or 4.8” with a bit attached), the Bit Bar Inline also boasts an external sleeve that can be paired with the main driver to act as a regular or offset T-handle. Completing the package is a deep carry pocket clip made from grade 4 titanium. Backed by a lifetime warranty, the Big Idea Design Bit Bar Inline is currently available through a Kickstarter campaign starting from $80, with worldwide delivery slated to commence in September of 2021.
