What started as a 2012 Mercedes Sprinter that owner Jack Richens wanted to transform into a four-person mobile apartment on wheels soon caught the attention of fellow weekend adventurers and nomadic individuals alike. From here, Jack decided to put his skills to good use, leading him to start his business – This Moving House – which works to complete similar projects for a handful of clients at a time.

In order to make the Sprinter accommodating for his family of four, Jack utilized classic boat design to help with saving space thus creating a large enough living area to comfortably unwind. The beds are stacked while a porthole opens things up a bit in what could have been a stuffy situation. The van also boasts a full kitchen complete with a sink and two-burner stovetop. There’s also a dining area with swiveling captain’s chairs and wood flooring that adds a touch of elegance to the finished product. All told the van cost around $18,500 from start to finish, and Jack is currently offering his services to others through his blog. [Purchase]
