Category: Tech

There are a lot of skills a photographer has to perfect before they can master their craft, but a new smart electric tripod head from Benro is looking to make their job a little easier.

The Benro Polaris is a smart tripod head that boasts loads of features to improve and simplify your photography. Its WiFi and cellular-connected camera interface controller allows you to remotely control, adjust, program, preview, and shoot with your camera from practically anywhere via your smartphone. The tripod also has built-in AI, GPS, accelerometer, compass, and gyroscope, which combine in a myriad of ways to take better pictures. Polaris can track the stars for celestial photography, smartly remove tourists from landmark photos, automatically adjust the exposure during long time-lapse shoots, auto-stack multiple images, and take panoramic images — all by itself — among other things. The Benro Polaris smart electric tripod head is currently raising funds on Kickstarter, with pledges starting at around $600.
