Ever since Benchmade launched the Bugout back in 2017, the knife has commanded a cult following amongst the EDC community. And it’s not without good reason. Between a hard-wearing USA-made construction and a versatile drop point design, the knife offers everything you could ever want in a dependable daily driver.
If you’re after something just a little bit smaller, though, the Benchmade Mini Bugout could very well be what you need. Like its full-size counterpart, it features a textured Grivory handle, a tough CPM-S30V steel blade, and a convenient AXIS locking mechanism. However, where the original Bugout stretched some 7.46″ end to end, the Mini comes in nearly an inch shorter at 6.49″. As such, it folds away to a compact 3.71″ when closed and weighs just 1.5oz, meaning it’s pretty much as pocketable as they come. Add to that a set of dual thumb studs, a reversible mounting clip, as well as an oversized lanyard hole, and the result is a knife that’s sure to become a staple in your rotation.
While Benchmade’s knives are available in any number of colors, we particularly like the Mini Bugout in this classy black on white colorway. Available now from BladeHQ, you can buy it for $136.
