Since joining forces with Renault back in 2016, Bell & Ross has become an active presence in Formula 1. With each season, the two brands have come together on a series of eye-catching collaborative timepieces, pairing high-quality French craftsmanship with performance-ready style. However, given that the team has since been rebranded under Renault’s sporty Alpine arm, it was only fitting that Bell & Ross gave their watches a refresh to suit.
For the 2021 Alpine Team A521 Collection, Bell & Ross has put together three different chronographs inspired by the French racing outfit’s updated livery. Headlining the range is undoubtedly the BR-X1 A521, a massive 45mm square watch with a case comprised of grade-5 titanium, ceramic, and rubber. As the most expensive and exclusive piece of the lot (just 50 are being made), it features such premium details as a specially-developed BR-CAL.313 movement, an entirely skeletonized dial, and a sapphire caseback in addition to a two-part timing bezel. That being said, the BR V3-94 A521 and BR 03-94 A521 are also both watches worth your consideration, with the former offering a classic round case and the latter sticking to the iconic Bell & Ross “circle in a square” shape. You can buy them now starting at $4,400.
