Bell MX-9 MIPS Motocross Helmet

Category: Gear

The acclaimed helmet brand Bell is reinforcing the safety of their MX-9 motocross helmet with the revolutionary MIPS technology. With the inclusion of this new tech created to mimic the brain’s own protection framework, your dome will get another line of defense if you happen to take a nasty spill.

The MIPS technology is a layer with a slip-plane system able to move 10 to 15 millimeters inside the MX-9, allowing it to rotate within the helmet to mitigate the energy to or from your head during impact. It decreases the rotational acceleration and reduces the risk of severe brain injury in the event of an accident. In addition to this highly praised technology, the MX-9 also boasts Bell’s ‘Velocity-Flow’ ventilation system to keep you comfy, a removable moisture-wicking liner, a padded chin strap with a D-ring closure, an EPS-lined chin bar, and a polycarbonate shell. This skull safeguard comes with a five-year warranty and is available in a variety of color combinations.

Purchase: $160
