We cover a lot of portable speakers on a regular basis but none quite like the BeatBringer, a Bluetooth boombox backpack. Combining portability with a sleek design and high-quality speaker performance, these hardshell lightweight backpacks look to bring back the boombox days of the past in style.

Weighing in at just over 13 pounds, the BeatBringer quite literally brings the music wherever you go thanks to the pack’s audio streaming capabilities and lengthy battery life. Each speaker is housed within an impact resistant ABS polymer pack and features anodized aluminum hardware making it a tough alternative to handheld portable speakers. And since proof is in the sound quality, each BeatBringer boasts two six-inch woofers, two 25mm soft dome neodymium tweeters, two 100w continuous powered amplifiers and a 22.2V 5200mAh Lithium-ion battery. These things are sure to bump the block and if you’re interested their Kickstarter campaign launches July 14 with early bird specials. [Purchase]
