Bang & Olufsen is world-renowned for its ultra-rich high-fidelity sound and sleek Scandinavian designs, though the company’s latest release sees these traits rolled into an immensely durable, adventure-ready portable Bluetooth speaker dubbed the “Beosound Explore.”
Standing at 4.8” tall, measuring 3.1” in diameter, and tipping the scales at just 1.39lbs (or 631-grams), the Beosound Explore is constructed around a Type 2 anodized aluminum housing that’s supplemented via equally rugged polymer and fabric elements. Despite its diminutive dimensions, the speaker’s pair of 30W Class D Amp-backed 1.8” full-range drivers afford a 56 – 22.700Hz frequency range, 91dBs of volume, and True360 omnidirectional 360-degree sound which can be adjusted via a customizable EQ on the B&O app. Paired with a waterproof strap and B&O-branded carabiner, this hi-fi Bluetooth speaker is also IP67-rated and packs a whopping 27 hours of playback time on a single charge. Available in Black Anthracite or Green starting on May 20th, the Bang & Olufsen Beosound Explore will be priced at $199 (and will be available in a Grey Mist version later this Summer).
