Despite an ongoing global pandemic, premium audio and electronics outfit, Bang & Olufsen has continued to steadily roll out new high-fidelity products. Fresh on the heels of B&O’s newly unveiled Beosound Balance home speaker, the Danish firm has now revealed yet another top-shelf piece of transducing tech with the new and improved Beosound A1 2nd Gen Waterproof Bluetooth Speaker.
Though similar in appearance to its predecessor, the 2nd generation Beosound A1 packs a host of new features and several improved performance aspects. The addition of Bluetooth 5.1 compatibly and a trio of internal microphones enable the gadget to be used as a (Bluetooth-connected) speakerphone, plus the 2nd Gen comes equipped with an Alexa-style integrated voice assistant. An improved battery now affords up to 18 hours of playback time, too, while the use of True360 omnidirectional sound also allows the circular Bluetooth speaker to throw sound in every direction. Furthermore, this updated speaker is completely impervious to sand, dust, and water, making it a great choice for camping or days at the beach. Available in “Black Anthracite” and “Grey Mist,” the Bang & Olufsen Beosound A1 2nd Gen Waterproof Bluetooth Speaker is available now, with the MSRP set at $250.
