Founded in the mid-1990s in an effort to give discerning horological enthusiasts more individualized and unique watch options, initially starting with a single DLC-coated Rolex Submariner before blossoming into the prestigious George Bamford-owned company we all know today. The elite UK outfit’s latest customized take on a high-end timepiece sees Bamford put its highly-stylized spin on TAG Heuer’s iconic Aquaracer watch.
Drawing inspiration from 1980s and early ‘90s era TAG watches—including the Swiss brand’s first-ever race stopwatch–the Bamford Aquaracer is built around a 43mm sandblasted titanium case that’s paired with a matching grade 5 titanium case-back, rotating bezel, and linked, three-row bracelet with a folding, push-button clasp. Water-resistant to a cool 984’ (or 300m), the watch is powered by a Calibre 5 Automatic movement with a 38-hour energy reserve. Separating the Bamford-spec from the regular Aquaracer is a black face with encompassing circles, and black gold plated hands striped in a lacquered orange, while the indexes have been treated to a coat of luminous white Super-LumiNova. Limited to only 1,500 units globally, the Bamford x TAG Heuer Aquaracer is available now with pricing set at approximately $4,340
