Bamford London continues to make the case that they are a full-fledged watchmaker capable of original designs that should be taken seriously, and the brand’s latest release is their most intriguing yet.
Bamford has launched the B347, an automatic chronograph that combines classic watchmaking prowess with some very modern sensibilities. The watch is a monopusher chronograph, meaning it uses the same single pusher at 2 o’clock to start, stop, and reset the chronograph. The watch is Swiss-made and uses a Swiss-made Sellita SW510 MPa caliber movement with a 62-hour power reserve, two details that signal an upmarket shift for the brand. Housing the fancy and uncommon movement is a 41.5mm forged carbon case that gives the classic complication a very contemporary home. The dial is in a retro-modern bi-compax layout with running seconds at 9 o’clock, a 30-minute counter at 3, a quick-set date window at 6, and a tachymeter inner bezel. Available in Reverse Panda and Bamford’s signature “Aqua Blue” colorways, the B347 Monopusher Chronograph is available now for $2,950.
