If the gargantuan methane leak in California this past winter says anything about the times in which we live, it is that we can’t take things as simple as clean air for granted. The folks at Awair know this all too well, which is why they’ve built a tool to help you keep tabs on the air quality in your home.

This beautifully designed device keeps track of the air temperature and humidity, along with the relative content of dust, C02, and other harmful chemicals in the air. The monitor communicates with an integrated app (iOS and Android) making it easy to track air quality over time. Depending on what is important to you, whether it be productivity, sleep, wellness, or a particular allergy, the device will give you personalized updates and notifications about the composition of the air and what you can do to improve it. The Awair includes an LED display, a one-year warranty, and is currently retailing for $200. [Purchase]
