Autocamp Russian River

Not quite camping, not quite staying in a hotel, the Autocamp at the Russian River in California boasts the best of both worlds.

Located just 90 minutes north of San Francisco, this camp on the Russian River offers three different ways to stay under the towering redwoods. First, and most striking is are the custom made Airstream trailers. Designed by Dan Weber Architecture (whose firm was in charge of designing the entire campsite, clubhouse and all) and manufactured by Air Stream USA, these American made trailers feature luxury amenities like a queen sized bed, high quality kitchen, and walk in shower and spa-inspired bathrooms for getting clean after riding bikes into town, hiking along the river, or canoeing. All linens and towels stocked in the trailer are of the highest quality, as is the case with the Suites and old-school Canvas Tents. During the day if you aren’t galavanting around enjoying the quaint nearby town or nature, you can head in to the campsite’s clubhouse to hangout, do a little shopping, or some reading while relaxing in the mid century modern furniture. Not a bad way to spend a vacation if we do say sour ourselves. Stays start at around $170 a night. [Purchase]
