Having the chance to spend the night in the stars as opposed to under them is a concept that is not too far away for some adventurers. Beginning in 2022 the brave will have just this chance, as Orion Span gets ready to launch their Aurora Station Space Hotel, offering guests a chance to get away to the heavens.

Intending to be the first luxury hotel in space, the Aurora Station is a modular spacecraft that will be launched into orbit in 2020, capable of holding six adults once at its final destination. After slapping down a $80k security deposit, space travels will take an accelerated three month training course to prepare them for the journey before being hurled on a $9.5M ride out of the Earth’s atmosphere. During the 12-day stay at the Aurora Station, the hotel will orbit our planet once every 90 minutes, giving guests the chance to see 16 sunrise and sunset cycles every 24 hours. Future plans for the orbiting inn will be the addition of condominium units, ensuring that they sky’s still the limit for vacation rental price gouging.

Reserve: $80,000
