AudioOrbs Cocoon Speaker

The Wall of Sound was one of our favorite projects from 2013, and it looks like the the same design team responsible for that ambitious gadget is back with another one for the new year in the AudioOrbs Cocoon Speaker.

Basically a walk-in spherical speaker system, AudioOrbs lets you immerse yourself in a musical experience providing surround sound through 18 speakers located within the sphere. Thanks to the use of body molding Tempur pillows, you can stay comfortable for hours on end, ensuring you never have to leave the giant fish bowl. The design team only plans on producing two of these units (at least for now), both of which will carry a price tag of $15,000. Considering the W.O.S. 2.0 retailed for nearly $7,000, the price tag isn’t all that surprising. [Purchase]
