Germany’s MANHART has been creating bespoke aftermarket automotive platforms for more than three decades, taking on projects from notable manufacturers like BMW, Range Rover, Volkswagen, Porsche, and Mercedes. For their most recent project, they’ve decided to maintain their focused pedigree with an adaptation of Audi’s prized RSQ8, resulting in the powerful and prominent RQ 900.
The aptly-named vehicle is yet another formidable offering from the company, offering buyers a substantial upgrade over Audi’s base platform. That doesn’t mean that the original vehicle is anything to shake a stick at, however. From the factory, the RSQ8 arrives with around 592-horsepower, courtesy of its 4.0 liter V8 bi-turbo engine. And while that very same motor still remains intact, MANHART has found a way to massage an additional 308-horsepower out of the versatile platform, providing drivers with a monstrous 900HP and 796 lb-ft of torque. A modified exhaust system, ECU remap, transmission rework, and enlarged turbochargers make all of this possible, complementing the SUV’s carbon-fiber bodywork, and inside, bespoke leather upholstery and a branded decal kit round things out. Only 10 examples of the RQ 900 are slated for delivery, with each clocking in at around $303,000.
